Enjoy a whole new experience on the trail with Specialized’s Pitch Sport 650B. Its lightweight aluminum frame has a balanced geometry that is perfectly matched to 650B wheels for a ride that is lively on climbs and dialed on descents. An SR Suntour suspension fork soaks up the bumps, so flowy or rocky, you'll float down the trail. The 24-speed drivetrain delivers the right gear for every hill, and Tektro hydraulic-disc brakes keep your speed in-check in all conditions. And to round it out, Specialized outfits the Pitch with Body Geometry components for a fit that feels just right.

Awesome bike. Had it for 5months or less and I haven't had any problems yet! Even after I bot it I did not even have to take it for my one free tune up within 90days of perchuse. Still rides very smooth with no problem. I use this bike every day to go to work and back 5miles a day everyday. I do grocery shopping, and city earrens with this bike and it's amazing. I feel more safe riding in the rain with this bike than a bike with thin pale tires when it's pouring outside, just my opinion and experience. I perchuse this bike for commuting because the streets I ride in has deep pot holes and to too much pro ken glass all over the place and I needed a bike that can handle something like that. Even thoe I haven took this bike on a dirt trial or any mountains I just love the way it handles the city pavement and its pot holes, glass and other junk on the floor were I always commute to. The best investment.
This gets 5 stars as long as you understand this is still entry level bike even if you still compare it to "regular" Pitch. After riding it for a couple of months it hasn't let me down and I have crashed a few times and the bike is still handling like a champ. Thoguht the bike is very durable, I will say I already had to replace the chain, but that may be more of how I ride if anything. I also got a flat from a twig puncturing the sidewall, though that made me convert to tubeless with the stock tires and it works great. While I know I will upgrade sooner or later, this bike could last a long time with the beginner and intermediate trails around DFW and maybe more advanced trails?? Maybe?? This bike so far has handled the following trails; River Legacy, Horeshoe, Boulder Park, Oakcliff, Frisco, Solavaca, Walnut Creek Metro (Austin). With all that said this bike has treated me well and I will continue to enjoy the bike
I went into the shop looking to pick up some knowledge for a bike purchase in the near future. As the sales associate dove more into the Specialized brand including bike features, history of the company, and why they personally believed in the brand I knew I found the brand of bike I wanted to try. I also started to get really excited about the thought of picking one of these bikes up as my own. I was going back and forth between a Rockhopper and a Pitch Sport. After test riding each of them there was no doubt in my mind that the Pitch was the right choice for me. Great handling, smooth shifting, incredible braking, and comfort sold me on this bike from the moment I made my first pedal to when I got off the bike. I knew I wasn't leaving the shop without that bike and so I didn't. If you're looking for a great entry level bike then I suggest you make it down to your shop, pick one of these out, and find out for yourself like I just did.
The Pitch is a great bike for a beginner. Is not too pricy (in bike terms) and it's fun to ride. I would recommend this bike to anyone who wants to get into the sport.
i like to get off the road bike a couple of times per week.get out and ride sans "serious" cycling attire.like to hit the bike trail w/running shoes, cool max T-shirt,non padded shorts and just ride hard for an hour to hour and a half like when i was a kid and rode for the pure joy of it.i really miss that feeling.sure it's heavier than my carbon fiber road bike, but it costs a whole lot less and gives as much if not more pure riding enjoyment and after all, isn't that what we all ride for anyway?
